BAMP was created in 2015 when Andre Jones and Derrick Shavers came together to paint the "Gateway to Vallejo " mural. This 130ft x 40ft mural was completed in 8 weeks and depicts the entire downtown Vallejo Community. Since the "Gateway to Vallejo" mural, BAMP has created several murals in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Community involvement is an integral part of planning, designing, and the creation of each mural facilitated by the BAMP. The input of the community is instrumental in shaping the vision for each mural. BAMP works to do more than just create a lasting piece of public art; our goal is to inspire communities to take pride in their neighborhood.
