ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Natty Rebel Unlimited was founded by visual artist André Jones aka Drémo. Using his spiritual gift of the visual arts, André redefines urban communities with his emotionally captivating works. These works can be found on clothing, canvases, walls and buildings worldwide.
André Jones was born and raised in Northern Virginia, as a military brat. His parents were supportive and gave him a positive upbringing, which has influenced his passion for life. As a young man he loved soccer and drawing and now as a man he is a professional artist, graphic designer, and businessman. André nurtured his artistic craft at Virginia Commonwealth University with a major in Commercial Art and a minor in Illustration.
His free-lance career began in the mid 90’s working for a T-shirt silk-screening company right outside of Richmond, Va. Before graduating from V.C.U. André founded his own graphics company, Natty Rebel Unlimited. Subsequently, in the fall of 2001 he moved to Brooklyn, New York to further his artistic endeavors. His trendy clothing and art hit the streets of NYC, gaining the attention of contemporary urban icons such as Mos Def, Raven-Symone, and the Marley Family.
In 2004 André, journeyed to Philadelphia where he worked with prominent organizations like the Mural Arts Program, University of Pennsylvania - P.Y.A.P.(Philadelphia Youth Advocacy Program) and the University of the Arts - P.A.E.P.(Philadelphia Arts & Education Partnership). The combination of his talent and youth services secured an art mission trip to Ethiopia in 2007. There he was commissioned to paint a mural for the Adama Ethiopia Millennium Celebration, featuring Juilan Marley and Andrew Tosh. His passion for life and art continues to drive André to produce visually stimulating imagery.
